Socializing Chihuahua's

I have a 2yr old male chi, which was socialized with mostly my family when he was young. I know is very protective of me. I was thinking of starting a meetng group at a local park to begin to socialize him with more dogs and people. Any other ideas out there would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks. I know now I was suppose to really socialize Rubin when he was a pup. He was given to me as a gift.
I didnt read up on Chi's till about a year ago wondering why he is aggresive. Now I figure I have alot of socializing
to do with him. Let me know what you find out. Thanks alot. Diana

Thanks. I am trying to set up a meetup through another website called dog meetups. I am waiting for the weather to break. It is 5 degrees here and we all know chi's dont like the cold. I will get a pix of him on here I will need my daughters help to do it. Your dog is really cute.
